Trade Delegation to Guatemala & Costa Rica - Sustainable Construction and Infrastructure

Project description

From June 14 to 19, 2026, AMENA Trade & Investment Consulting GmbH, in cooperation with the German-Guatemalan Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Guatemala) and the German-Costa Rican Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Costa Rica), will be conducting a business development mission to Guatemala and Costa Rica on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). This is a project-related support measure within the framework of the 2026 Market Development Program for SMEs. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Despite global uncertainties, the economies of Guatemala and Costa Rica have developed dynamically in recent decades. Due to its high level of development, Costa Rica is already classified by the World Bank as a high-middle-income country, while Guatemala, as the largest market in the region, impresses with a steadily expanding industrial and service base. Costa Rica and Guatemala are currently experiencing strong growth in the construction and infrastructure sectors, particularly in the area of sustainable building components and environmentally conscious construction services. A key driver of this growth is the growing awareness of sustainability.
